Basic grammatical knowledge of photography must be on the top priority to learn and apply. Though we plan so many things to make frame of the photo but the truth is still the same as said by Henri Cartier-Bresson, ‘It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head’ . That’s the reason we sometime becomes astonished to see the photographs by someone who is not at all trained professionally for photography, whereas many experienced photographers find it difficult to add new spice in his creation after few years of his career.

Only a few persons are blessed with this rare talent, but photographers like us have to train our eyes to see, identify and capture the remarkable frame, need rigorous practice, proper knowledge of rules and grammar of photography and watching the best work of eminent photographers of the world. Finally identify his own niche, which is most important in developing his career and fame in this arena.  Many of us waste valuable years knowing that which category of photographs we are meant to. There are mainly six categories of photography

  • Portrait Photography
  • Photojournalism
  • Fashion Photography
  • Still Life Photography
  • Architectural Photography
  • Travel Photography

Other categories like Street, Wild life, Macro, Fine art, Landscape photography and so on. Time has gone when the photographers used to fight with proper exposure while framing a moment as no option was there to check the frame in the display of DSLR, Usually we are slowly being dependent on the different photo editing software for exposure compensation and white balance. But still setting a proper white balance and perfect exposure while capturing the photo has no match for excellent output. I would like to explain in brief the basics of exposure and white balance in future. But we should never lose the hope finding our photos rejected by ourselves while sorting the photos captured after a session. Because

‘Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst’
